• Write what you know and love!

Before you start on your novel you should know what you want to write about. It is important that your topic should be something you care about. It should be something that you truly want to work with. Your topic should also be something that you have great knowledge in. And if you are not passionate about your topic, you won’t be able to complete it.

One of the best ways to get people to care about your characters is to make their issues real and pressing. It makes your character much more believable and relatable because the story can’t move forward if there are no obstacles to face. It will also be a boring story if there are no antagonist to beat. Which is why it is very important that your character has to face a truly dangerous adversary. The issues your character faces could be external or internal. Just remember that your story usually revolves around how your character deals with the problem, so it is important that you mesh your character and the problem well.

• Stay the course

It was stated earlier that the book writing process can be difficult and you are going to be challenged through the process. So it is very important that you stay the course. Be courageous in your writing and take pleasure during the entire journey. You will have a hard time getting it published, that’s the reality of it.
